Holiday Park Campground is one of the nicest RV parks I have stayed at yet. Self-described as “high-end,” I would agree, but high-end in the most charming way. The grounds were immaculate, and the setting was beautiful – full of trees, with a gorgeous lake and beach to boot.

The first thing that struck me was the number of Airstreams in the park. Turns out it is a membership campground, and to own a lot back in the day you had to own an Airstream. (Airstream ownership is no longer a requirement.)

I felt really fortunate with my spot selection – Lot 81. It was wide, with partial shade and plenty of privacy. The wi-fi worked well for me, but my guess is that given the size of this campground, there may be a stronger signal in some areas and weaker in others. The 60+ cable channels was also a nice change.

I was here in our camper van but would love to come back with Bill in our motor coach and stay at a spot with a lake view.

My only regret is not having more time here. I had to head back home, but would have been very happy here for a week while touring Sleeping Bear Dunes (a bit of a drive away – around 45 minutes) and Traverse City (less than 10 miles away).
