Big Rig Friendly?

Their web site says it can hold motor coaches up to 42 feet, but I would be very hesitant to bring our motor coach here. (I camped here in our 24′ camper van.) The roads to get to the campgrounad are narrow and windy. And then once there, if you were in a larger coach, you’d probably need to near the entrance, on what seems to be the top-tier of this park.

Access

About 4 miles off of I-75. Call ahead of time for directions and do not follow your GPS. Their web site provides the following directions:

  • I-75 Exit 128 (North or South bound )
  • At the bottom of the ramp turn left onto Hwy. 441.
  • Travel approximately 1.5 miles.
  • Turn left onto Oak Grove Road (Sign for Mt. Lake on the right side of the road.)
  • Stay on Oak Grove Road approximately 1.8 miles. You will pass a cemetery and church on your right.
  • Turn right at the second Lindsey Mill Circle turn. DO NOT turn at the first Lindsey Mill Circle road. (You will be in for a very exciting ride).
  • Stay on Lindsey Mill Circle, bearing right in approximately .5 mile
  • The check-in information Office is straight ahead (an A-frame Building with a green roof)
  • Check-in instructions are in the box by the front door.

Comments

Since I was here just one night — arriving in the evening and leaving early in the morning — I cannot comfortably review this park. But I definitely would like to return (it butts up against Lake Norris!), and at that time, I will write a thorough review.
