This park is located just 11 miles away from Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. And its proximity to other historical locations is a list of many.
The park is a quiet, heavily wooded area just nine miles from Interstate 64 (use exit 121 regardless of your GPS guidance). It’s truly a country setting to be calmly enjoyed while seeing the many historical attractions, including the school fathered by Thomas Jefferson himself, the University of Virginia.
The facilities were clean, quiet, and inviting. Predominantly gravel throughout, the sites and the park’s roads provided an area for walking around this small park while enjoying the serenity of the country.
