This was a quick one-night stop for us, but a pleasant one. Water, sewer, and 50 amps for just $25 is hard to beat. Take off the 10% Good Sam discount, and we couldn’t help but be happy with the price.
We made our reservation on the roll. Since we weren’t going to arrive before the office closed, clear and helpful instructions were provided over the phone as to how to get into the park and where to park once there.
Just a few miles off of I-64, this is certainly conveniently located and fairly simple to access; however, there is no actual sign indicating when to turn into the park itself. We were coming from I-64 East, so she instructed us to turn right on the first paved road after Spud’s Bar-B-Q.
Upon arrival, only one other RV was parked in the full hookup area, and we chose our spot several sites down from them. Later that evening, another coach arrived. However, during the state fair, we have been told that the park is hopping.
In the early evening, there were quite a few individuals and couples (locals, we assume), many with dogs, walking along the paths. There aren’t any bells and whistles here (even the bathrooms were locked or gated), but if you like graveled sites with full hook-ups on large grounds with walking paths, you will like it here.
We didn’t have time to tour the town of Lewisburg, which looks very charming. We’ll just need to land here another time and spend a couple of days.
