Commensurate to a national park, this setting is one of nature, wildlife, and serenity. Our first morning here had many scrambling for their cameras to get a shot of a bull moose. And while I decided to wait awhile before venturing out, when I did, a large coyote scurried near me on his way down to the Gros Ventre River bank.
They do not accept reservations; it is first come, first serve. So if you need a site with electric, or want to have a spot of your choosing, try getting there by 11 a.m. (There are areas of the campground where generators are allowed at certain times of the day.)
The camp’s location is ideal for touring The Grand Tetons, Mormon Row, and Jackson, Wyoming.
